The Nerdy Nutritionist

Supergreens consist of a combination of Spirulina, Chlorella, Barley Grass (for more info click on http://healthfromhomenaturally.com/barley-grass-benefits/ and Wheat Grass. Spirulina and chlorella are freshwater plant species (microalgae) while barley grass and wheat grass are land plants

Microalgae are single cell plants that are the most productive organisms on the planet utilizing light three times more effectively than land plants. They are considered the most nutrient dense food on earth based on gram weight comparison (1). It is their composition of amino acids, essential fatty acids, chlorophyll, phytonutrients, minerals, vitamins, carbohydrates and carotenoids that are available in an easily digestible form that explains their nutrient density

Available as a food and a supplement, Supergreens are unique in the fact that certain desirable constituents are not isolated from the plant and even as a supplement they are classified a whole food.
